11 Super Natural Remedies For Frizzy Hair

Frizzy hair is basically hair that is moisture-deprived. It could be genetic, or due to pollutants, dryness, over-styling, harsh  chemicals, or some illness. We all crave for silky, smooth hair and with a little bit of effort, this is definitely achievable.

1. Apple Cider Vinegar

The acidic nature of the apple cider vinegar helps in taming the frizz in the hair. It can be diluted in equal quantities with water and used as the last rinse after shampooing the hair to get smooth and shiny tresses. Alternatively, apply diluted apple cider vinegar to the scalp and the tresses, with a cotton ball dipped in the  solution. Comb the hair and leave this solution for 15 minutes. Then wash off the hair. Follow this regime once in two weeks to tame the frizziness of the hair.

2. Carbonated Water

Club soda, aerated water or sparkling water are all forms of carbonated water that can smoothen the hair due to their carbon dioxide content and reduce the dryness of the hair. It can be used as a last rinse after shampooing to bring a nice shine and bounce to the hair and at the same time reduce the frizz. This therapy should be continued for long the straighten the fizzy hair.

3. Beer

Beer contains good amounts of minerals and antioxidants that are healthy for the hair. It can be applied to the hair and left for 15 minutes before washing the hair. In another method, mix beer with the shampoo and conditioner, apply to the hair comb well and leave for 20 minutes. Then wash off with cold water to get straight, tangled and shiny hair. Follow this regime every two weeks to improve hair texture.

4. Coconut Milk

Coconut milk contains minerals and proteins that boost hair growth and make it soft. Take 2 tbsp of coconut milk and warm it in a pan. Apply this to the hair and cover the hair with a shower cap. Leave overnight to get best results. Wash the hair in the morning to get frizz-free straight hair.

5. Avocado

Avocadoes are rich in good fats and not only do they nourish the hair but also add moisture to them to smooth down the dryness. Mash an avocado and add some olive oil to it. Apply this pack to the hair and scalp and cover the head with a shower cap. Now leave this on for an hour and then rinse off the hair. This regime can be followed once weekly.

The minerals in banana namely, vitamins and carbs can lock in the moisture and control frizziness. Masha ripe banana and add some yogurt, lemon juice, and honey to it. Mix thoroughly and apply this paste to the hair and leave for 1/2 hour. Now wash and shampoo the hair and repeat weekly to get frizz-free tresses.

Eggs are loaded with fats and proteins to soften the difficult tresses and manage frizziness. Whisk an egg and add some olive oil to it. Now apply it to the hair and leave for 20 minutes. Wash off using a good shampoo and conditioner. The olive oil adds to locking in moisture within the hair tresses and eggs are powerful ingredients to tame frizziness.

8. Mayonnaise

The eggs and oil in the mayo can nourish the hair deeply and lock in moisture to keep the hair strands manageable and healthy. Apply mayonnaise to the hair after shampooing the hair. Leave for 20 minutes and then rinse the hair with cold water. Repeat once a week.

9. Honey And lemon

Honey and lemon can be mixed 2 tbsp each in a cup of water. Then apply this solution to the hair strands which have been shampooed and towel dried.Comb well for even distribution and shampoo the hair after 20 minutes. The hair feels softer and much smoother than before.

10. Yogurt

Yogurt contains naturally softening ingredients which can make the hair soft and smooth and fight frizziness and split ends. Yogurt can be applied alone or mixed with bananas, olive oil, or honey and the pack can be applied weekly to the hair.

11. Coconut Oil/Olive Oil

Coconut or olive oil have great amounts of moisture in them that makes the hair soft and manageable. Apply some coconut oil and follow it up with the turban therapy for 20 minutes. Shampoo the hair after 2 hours to get softer locks. It conditions the hair and controls split ends and hair damage. Or, after shampooing and towel drying the hair thoroughly, oil can be applied lightly to the strands and left on the hair.The hair should be combed well to ensure even distribution of oil. This therapy can be followed thrice a week.
