Glycerin soap, water and one tablespoon of tea tree oil
Grate the glycerin soap .Take one cup of the grated glycerin soap and water in a bowl and place the bowl on a double boiler .Let the soap base melt completely .Remove the bowl containing the melted soap. Add one tablespoon of tea tree oil and mix well. Pour the mixture in moulds and let it set. Wrap in grease proof papers and use as and when required.
Recipe Using Castile Soap, Tea Tree Oil, Thyme Essential Oil, Almond Oil And Calendula Flowers:
Like tea tree oil, thyme essential oil and calendula flowers too have antiseptic properties and hence this recipe increases the effectiveness of the soap.
Castile soap or olive oil based soap, water, one tablespoon of tea tree oil, three tablespoons of almond oil, 15 drops of thyme essential oil, 2 tablespoons of dried calendula flowers
Grate the castile soap and add water to it. Place the bowl containing the soap mixture on a double boiler and let the soap melt. Once the soap has melted remove the bowl from the boiler and add the almond oil, tea tree oil and the thyme oil and mix well. Now add the calendula flowers and mix well. Pour the soap mixture in moulds and let it set. Wrap the soaps in grease proof papers and store in cool dry place. Use the soap to wash wounds and for mild skin infections.
Recipe Using Plantain Leaves And Glycerin:
The juice of fresh plantain leaves is very effective in healing wounds and also has anti bacterial and anti inflammatory properties.
Few plantain leaves, one tablespoon of glycerin, water, glycerin soap
Grate the glycerin soap and add water to it and let the soap melt by keeping the bowl containing the soap in a double boiler. In the meanwhile put the leaves, glycerin and a little water in the blender and blend well. Now strain the mixture through a cheese cloth. Mix this plantain oil with the soap base and pour in moulds and cool it so that the soap sets. Use as and when required.
