1. Grated Cucumber
To soothe the swelling and to rapidly dry out the acne and pimples, apply grated cucumber to the affected areas. Leave it on at least for 15 minutes and then rinse. Frequent application of grated cucumber also helps in minimizing further breakouts.
2. Cucumber, Oatmeal And Yogurt
Put a small cucumber, a cup of oatmeal and a teaspoon of plain yogurt in a blender and make a smooth paste. Spread the paste on the face and the affected areas on the body. Leave it on for 30 minutes and then rinse off with water. This home remedy helps in clearing the sebum and dead cells that buildup in the pores and cause breakouts.
3. Cucumber, Mint, Honey And Margosa Leaves
Grind ¼ cucumber, 25 mint leaves and 12 margosa or neem leaves. Add a teaspoon of honey. Apply the mixture to the face and neck, focusing on the affected areas. Leave it on for 5 minutes. Rinse with ¼-cup cucumber juice and then wash off with water. Apply this mixture twice a day for best result.
4. Cucumber And Gram Flour
Combine enough cucumber juice with a tablespoon of gram flour to make a thick paste. Apply the paste to your face and other affected areas. When the paste starts drying out, rinse off with water. For severe breakouts, leave the gram flour and cucumber juice paste on the affected areas for a longer time or if possible overnight.
5. Cucumber And Jojoba Oil
Mix the pulp of a cucumber with few drops of jojoba oil and spread the mixture evenly on the affected area. This helps in soothing and clearing the acne. The anti-inflammatory property of jojoba oil makes it an effective remedy for acne. This remedy is suitable for all types of acne prone skin.
