6 Simple Ways To Get Rid Of Flea Bites

1. Cold Compresses

One of the universal methods to take care of pain comes in handy for flea bites too. Cold temperatures have a comforting effect on your nerves and tissues and they greatly help out in reducing the itching sensations. They reduce swelling too to a vast extent and are beneficial in curbing the inflammation levels. Clean the area with warm water. Use a mild soap if needed. Take a soft cloth and wrap it in with 3 to 4 ice cubes. Now press this on the affected region for a minute and take it off for a few seconds. Repeat this again. Use this procedure for about 15 minutes to alleviate the soothing sensation. Repeat this twice or thrice a day for better results.

This is one of the best remedies for flea bites and infections. It takes care of the itching levels and reduces the inflammation on your skin. It is also beneficial in reducing the infection that might have arisen from such bites. Take a teaspoon of baking soda and mix it with some water to make a thick paste. Apply this paste on the flea bitten area after washing it with soap and water. After some 10 minutes, wash the area well with cold water. Repeat this procedure just once a day. Always remember that you should not use baking soda on raw or open wounds.

3. Aloe Vera

One of the most gratifying substances as far as your skin is considered should be Aloe Vera. Their antiseptic and anti inflammatory properties can be really helpful in leveling the inflammations undertones caused by flea bites. Also, they significantly spike up the healing process. Extract the Aloe Vera gel from the leaf or get a store bought organic Aloe Vera juice. Rub it on the affected areas of your skin and let it rest for about 15 minutes. Later wash off with cool water. It soothes the itching area and also aids in reducing the infection levels. Use the unfiltered and raw version of apple cider vinegar for best results. Immerse a soft cloth or a cotton ball in the vinegar and spread it on the bite areas. Let it chill for a few minutes. Later remove the cloth and wash the place with cold water. Repeat this procedure at least 3 to 4 times in a day.

Take a few teaspoons of Epsom salt and dissolve them in a bowl of warm water. Now pour this mix slowly on the affected region like washing it off. Alternatively, you can even prepare an Epsom salt water bath and soak in to for achieving the best results.

Witch hazel can have a calming effect on your skin and is generally used in many cosmetic products across the globe. It has an anti inflammatory effect on your skin and reduces the itching and redness sensation caused by flea bites. Also, they make the skin soft once the area is gotten rid of the infection. Dip a cotton ball or a soft cloth in witch hazel and dab it on the affected region. Later wash it off. Repeat a few times in a day and you can notice a visible difference in a couple of days.
