Combining oat with coconut oil helps in providing relief from the itching and dryness of the skin caused by eczema flare-ups. Melt ¾-cup of unrefined coconut oil and mix it with ¼-cup of ground oat. Add a tablespoon of olive oil. Mix all the ingredients well. Apply the mixture on the eczema patches thrice a day.

The leaves and seeds of Azadirachta indica, commonly known as Indian lilac or neem, contain two powerful anti-inflammatory compounds called nimbidin and nimbin. The anti-inflammatory effect of these active constituents of Indian lilac leaves and seeds help in reducing inflammation and redness of the skin associated with eczema. Moreover, Indian lilac is valued for its powerful anti-bacterial effect that helps in reducing risk of secondary infections. Add 3 to 4 drops of Indian lilac seed oil to a teaspoon of unrefined coconut oil and apply the oil blend to the eczema patches.

The powerful moisturizing effect of shea butter helps in providing fast relief from excessively dry skin. It forms a protective barrier that blocks loss of moisture from the skin. When lavender essential oil and tea tree essential oil is applied on eczema patches, the soothing and antiseptic properties of the essential oils help in supporting the healing process. Over low heat, using a double boiler melt and mix ¼-cup each of coconut oil and shea butter. Add 5 drops of tea tree essential oil and 15 drops of lavender essential oil and mix well. Twice a day cover the eczema patches with the homemade cream.

Coconut Oil, Vitamin E Oil And Rosemary Oil

The anti-inflammatory and antioxidant activities of vitamin E help in providing relief from eczema. Rosemary essential oil helps in reducing itching. To boost the effectiveness of the coconut oil remedy for eczema, combine it with vitamin E oil and rosemary oil. Mix two tablespoons of vitamin E oil and two tablespoons of rosemary oil with five tablespoons of coconut oil. Apply on the affected areas 2 to 3 times daily.
