No matter how much we look after our skin in summers, our skin tends to get tanned. Most of the time we forget to put sunscreen while going out and that’s when sun plays its role. It is always advised to treat the tan when it is fresh or else it takes ages to get rid of it.
There Are Many Home Remedies Which We Can Use To Remove Sun Tan:
1. Tomato & Yogurt
Tomato is known to have bleaching properties and Yogurt contains lactic acid which is known as an excellent skin lightening agent. Puree one tomato. Mix it with 2 tablespoons of Yogurt and 1 tablespoon of Lemon Juice. Mix it well to get thick consistency and apply it on cleansed face. Keep it for 20 minutes and wash off with cold water. You may also use this pack on your hands and legs. Use it daily to get faster results .
2. Cucumber & Rosewater
A pack of Cucumber, Rose Water and Lemon Juice works wonders on Tanned skin. Cucumber is known for its soothing properties while Rose water instantly refreshes the skin. Lemon is a rich source of Vitamin c which is best skin lightening agent. Apply this pack on face and affected area and keep it for 15 minutes.Regular usage can definitely deliver great results.
3. Fresh Aloe Vera
Many of us must have heard of this miracle plant. It is widely used in various remedies. It is great for treating suntan as well. Take fresh extracted aloe Vera gel and rub it on face and affected area for 5 minutes and then let it sit for 10 minutes. Wash it off with cold water. It is suggested to use daily for best results.
4. Chick-Pea Flour & Yogurt
Everyone is aware of this ancient old remedy and it is effective too. To make this pack mix 2 tablespoon of Chick-Pea Flour, 1 teaspoon of Lemon juice ,1 teaspoon of Yogurt and a pinch of Turmeric powder. Mix it well and apply it on face. You may use it on hands and legs as well. This mixture works as mask as well as exfoliator due to Chick-Pea Flour. It is known as a great exfoliator and cleanser. Once dries , scrub in circular motions to remove the pack and wash it off with cold water.
Potatoes contains natural bleaching agent which naturally lightens the skin tone. It is very beneficial in treating suntan. Take one medium size potato and peel it. Now make a paste of it with the help of Blender. Apply this paste on face and other affected area and let it sit for 15 minutes. Wash it off with cold water once dries.
Papaya contains enzyme papain which is beneficial in skin lightening. It helps to remove sun tan and dark spots. It also helps in exfoliating the skin. To make this pack take 2 tablespoons of papaya pulp and mix it with 1 teaspoon if honey. Make a thick paste and apply it on cleansed face. Let it dry for 30 minutes and wash off with cold water.
7. Honey & Milk
Milk is known as a great moisturizer while honey acts as an anti-tan agent. Take One teaspoon of Milk and One teaspoon of Honey. Mix it well with one teaspoon of Lemon Juice. You can also use milk powder instead of Milk. Mix it well and apply on face. Keep it for 20 minutes and wash off with cold water.
