Mix two to three teaspoons of apple cider vinegar with a glass of water and take it three times a day before each meal. If desired sweeten the apple cider vinegar drink with some honey or apple juice. You can even mix apple cider vinegar with apple juice.[1]

Apply apple cider vinegar compress or soaking the affected joint in apple cider vinegar bath helps in providing relief from the joint pain and inflammation. To half a cup of hot water, add a quarter cup of apple cider vinegar. Soak your aching finger joints, wrists or ankles in the apple cider vinegar bath for 10 to 20 minutes. For areas that cannot be soaked in the apple cider vinegar bath such as knee joints, shoulder joints or hip joints, soak a cloth in the hot apple cider vinegar mixture, and cover the affected area. Place a towel over the cloth to trap the heat.[2]

3. Apple Cider Vinegar And Cayenne Pepper

Capsaicin, the main active constituent in cayenne pepper, helps in blocking the transmission of the pain signal that helps in relieving the joint pain. To a pint of apple cider vinegar, add a tablespoon of cayenne pepper. Keep the mixture aside for two weeks. Shake the mixture once daily. Strain the mixture and apply the liniment to the affected joint.[3]

4. Apple Cider Vinegar And Marigolds

Soak marigolds in apple cider vinegar for several hours. Gently massage the joints with the marigold infused apple cider vinegar. It helps in reducing the arthritis pain and improving the joint mobility.[4]

5. Apple Cider Vinegar And Garlic

Mince three garlic cloves and soak them in a cup of apple cider vinegar for several days. Massage the aching joints with the garlic infused apple cider vinegar. Garlic is known for its anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties.[5]

6. Apple Cider Vinegar, Egg White And Olive Oil

Beat the whites of two eggs. Mix ΒΌ cup each of apple cider vinegar and olive oil. Add the egg white and mix the ingredients well. Apply the mixture on the joints affected by arthritis twice a day, in the morning and evening. Leave the poultice on the joints for at least 15 minutes. You can also drink the mixture with meal thrice a day.[6]

Prepare a liniment by combining a quarter cup of olive oil and half a cup of apple cider vinegar. Massage the joints affected by arthritis with the liniment. It helps in reducing the pain and swelling.[7]

Mix half a cup of turpentine oil with equal amount of apple cider vinegar. Add half a cup of vegetable oil and mix well. Before going to bed, gently massage the joints with the oil mixture. This arthritis liniment when used daily helps in reducing the pain and stiffness of the joints.[8]
