A store bought dye could be more lasting on the hair, but natural products that are available at home, garden or the kitchen could also bring about the desired results and are also not laced with chemicals to damage the hair. From shocking pink, to metallic to dark browns and blacks all colors can be highlighted to the hair.

The Recipe To Make Blonde Hair Dye1 Is-
1/2 cup plain yogurt,1/2 cup strong chamomile tea of 6 tea bags, 5 drops lavender essential oil
Steep the tea for about 20 minutes till it has infused strongly into the water. Strain and cool. Now blend the yogurt, essential oil, and this tea mixture very well. Apply on the hair for half hour and wash off. This method has to be applied at least twice a week for a month to get desired results.
Blonde hair dye 2
4 cups chamomile tea, 1/2 cup lemon juice. Steep the tea well for 20 minutes and when cooled, mix in the lemon juice.Wet the hair with warm water and then dry the hair thoroughly. Rinse hair twice with this liquid and leave it on the hair for an hour. Sit in the sun for better hair color. Wash. Repeat daily for 2-3 weeks for great results.
If you want to give your hair a nice reddish brown tinge, coffee will work well for you. Take 10 cups of coffee water steeped with 20 tsp of coffee powder. Rinse the hair repeatedly for 15 minutes with this solution and leave the last rinse for 20 minutes. Rinse off. Repeat 2-3 times a week for at least a month to get good results.
This can again give great red highlights to the hair strands. Take 20 cups of strong black tea that has been brewed for 20 minutes and rinse your hair with this liquid for 15 minutes.Rinse and repeat daily for 2 weeks.
For women who want a dark shade to the hair, this dye will be very effective. Though walnut husks can be dangerous to the skin so caution should be taken before using it.
Recipe For Walnut Husk Dye:
2 cups of walnut husks and some water.
Coarsely grind the walnuts and cover them with water and boil for 5 hours on low flame, replacing the evaporated liquid with water.Strain, squeeze well and boil once again. Once cooled, add some cloves and refrigerate. Strain before using. Rinse the hair 3-4 times with this liquid and leave for 15 minutes. Wash with plain water.
This will give a dark or black tinge to your locks. It can be combined with black tea for increasing the effectiveness.
1/3 cherry bark, 3 tea bags, 3 cups of water.
Boil the tea bags and cherry bark in water for 20 minutes. Cool and strain. Rinse the hair with this mixture.
This vegetable has a beautiful red color that can highlight the streaks of the hair with a red pink shade.
1 cup carrot juice and 1 cup beetroot juice.
Mix the two well and wash the hair with this mix and leave for an hour. Wash the hair.Repeat every day for 3 weeks.
The leaves of this herb impart a red-brown color to the hair and it is also an excellent conditioner for the hair.
1 1/2 cup henna,1/2 cup lemon juice
Mix the two in a nonmetallic bowl and leave it for 5 hours.Now apply on the hair from roots to the tips and make a bun. Cover the head with a wrap. Leave for 3 hours for the color to set in the hair.Wash.
If used regularly for several times a month, this herb can infuse a dark color to the hair.
2 cups of fresh/dried leaves of sage and rosemary each,1 tab apple cider vinegar, water Place the herbs in a non-aluminium vessel and cover with enough water to boil for 6 hrs. Add water if necessary. Strain, cool and add the apple cider vinegar. Shampoo the hair and use this natural dye as a last rinse to the hair to impart a dark red color to the locks.
The flowers of marigold can be boiled with hibiscus flowers for 2 hours and then strained. Now rinse the hair with this liquid to get a nice reddish tinge to the hair.
