Runny nose is a symptom of common cold or flu. It is also caused due to sudden change of weather. It is also caused due to allergies. It is caused due to virus. Applying Pressure

Apply pressure on the corner of nose. Force should be applied gently so as to avoid situation from getting worse. Nose should almost be closed when applying pressure. Applying pressure on nose will help in treating headache and sinus congestion that are caused due to allergies and cold. Pressure should be applied on the area above eyes. Also, massaging ear lobes help in treating runny nose. This should be done at least 10 times a day.

Nasal Irrigation

Nasal irrigation is inserting water in one nostril and removes it out from other. This will clear the whole passage. Salt water can be used for nasal irrigation as it will freeze mucous and help in treating running nose. Normal water can also be used for nasal irrigation. But it should be ensured that the water is purified and clean. This can be done using syringe, neti pot.

But it will give really bad breathe. To avoid one can boil it with water and consume garlic water. Lot of garlic can also be added in soup.



Turmeric very effectively fights against virus and bacterial. It has anti- inflammatory properties. It is used for the treatment of common cold. It helps in treating runny nose. Turmeric should be added to linseed oil. The mixture should be put on flame till it starts producing some smoke. This smoke should be smelled through one nostril at a time. Turmeric can also be added to milk. Turmeric milk does not only help in treatment of runny nose, but it also increases immunity resistance of body against diseases.
