Cracked heels are the result of dryness and roughness which can occur due to many reasons. If you have dry and rough heels, it can cause you immense embarrassment. Your cracked heels will trap all dirt from the environment, causing poor health as well. Dry rough heels are usually not a serious problem and can be taken care of at home in some easy ways. Regular care is all what is needed to reduce the risk of such a problem. You do not have to spend a lot of money nor do you need to visit your parlour for the purpose.
Here Are Some DIY Ways To Get Rid Of Cracked Dirty Heels:
1. Cover Your Feet
If the weather is dry and the weather is chilly, it causes dryness and roughness. In such a situation, you need to keep your feet or heels protected from the dry cold winds which leads to further dryness ad cracks in your heels. If you keep your feet covered, the moisture stays trapped in your heels. You can wear socks during the winter or whenever you feel your heels are getting cracked and dried. This will help your condition.
2. Apply Warm Coconut Oil
Coconut oil helps to soften the skin, helps in reducing dryness and helps in effectively reducing roughness. Warm coconut oil is often applied to tackle dry and rough heels. You need to warm three or four tablespoons of coconut oil and apply it on your heels. Massage lightly and cover your heels. You can apply warm coconut oil everyday as you go to bed. Regular application of the oil will help in getting soft heels.
Do you know that cracked heels often accumulate a lot of dead skin. This causes roughness and unhealthy skin. You need one tub filled with warm water. Add two tablespoons of liquid soap in the tub and keep your feet soaked in this warm and soapy water for at least thirty minutes. Once you have your feet soaked, you need to rub gently so that you are able to loosen all dead skin cells. After scrubbing for ten minutes, you can rinse your feet using clean water. You will also need to pat your heels dry using a soft towel. You can later apply a little bit of moisturizing lotion and or cream. As you go to bed, you should ideally wear cotton socks.
4. Soak Your Feet
This is another good way to reduce the problem of cracked and unhealthy dirty hees. You will need five cups of warm water and one cup of milk. Add half cup of almond oil and mix well. Keep your heels soaked in this solution for thirty minutes. Occassionally rub your heels using a pumice stone which will help in cleansing the cracks and removing dead skin cells which are quite harmful. After thirty minutes pat your feet dry. If you do this treatment three times in a week, your feet shall feel soft and healthy.
5. Apply Banana Pack
Banana is known to be a wonderful moisturizer. It helps in improving the softness of your feet. If you apply this easy pack daily, your feet drynes shall reduce and your cracked heels problems can be reduced. You need two tablespoons of milk, one tablespoon of almond oil and three tablespoons of banana pulp. Mix well and apply the pack on your cracked heel. You can massage lightly for five minutes and let the pack get absorbed. After thirty minutes remove the pack and apply a moisturizer.
