Insects’ infestation can be a big menace, especially in the tropical regions. If you are tired of seeking out chemical based insect repellents, try out lavender essential oil for a change. They are very beneficial in keeping away insects like fleas, mosquitoes, flies, and moths away from your home. Put in a few drops of lavender essential oil to cotton balls or tissues and keep them in your closets and wardrobes.

For the places near your garbage bins, take a few camphor balls and add few drops of lavender oil in it and place them near the bins. In case you are stepping out, mix some olive oil or jojoba oil to a few drops of lavender essential oil and rub it gently on your hands and skin to repel the insects [4].

Alternatively, you can rub a few drops of lavender oil to your temples and gently massage the area. However, do not use many drops. You can even add them to your regular oil and massage your shoulders, neck and back to induce relaxation [5].
