5 Steps To An Easy Homemade Lemon Facial For Oily Skin

Oily Skin. A nightmare for many girl. It doesn’t only contributes the tank full of oil on face but also pimples and blackheads. We try to use every face wash in the market which claims to control the oil secretion and to get rid of that oil we over cleanse our skin which dries out the skin further. It also strips off the natural oil from the skin and hence our skin secrets more sebum in order to keep the natural oil balance in the skin which again makes skin very oil. Hence it is very important to cleanse our skin properly with gentle cleanser which will retain natural oils in the skin. There are many homemade face wash which you can use to clean your oily skin.

Today We Are Going To Discuss About A Simple Lemon Facial Which Is Very Beneficial For Oily Skin:

1. Cleansing

A first step in Facial. Since this is a homemade recipe we are going to use a face cleanser which can be prepared at home. It is very simple. You would need one tablespoon of Chickpea Flour, One tablespoon of Lemon Juice & One tablespoon of Rose Water. Mix all the ingredients well and make a smooth paste. Apply this all over your face and massage gently for 5 minutes. Wash off afterwards with warm waters. We all know Chickpea flour is the best natural cleanser which cleanses it without drying out. Lemon belongs to a citrus family hence it is rich in Vitamin C. Citrus Acid is a form of an Alpha Hydroxyl Acid which exfoliates the dead cells gently and reveals fresh skin while rose down soothes the irritated skin.


2. Steaming

The Second step would be steaming. You can use your regular steamer or you can use a wide bowl of Hot water for this purpose. You can add few drop of Tea tree oil or lemon oil for additional benefits. Cover your head with a towel and take a steam for 5 minutes.


3. Exfoliation

In this step we will be targeting the dead skin cells and Blackheads as well as whiteheads.After Steaming our skin pores get open hence it is very easy to remove those nasty blackheads. You can prepare this simple scrub by using brown sugar, lemon and honey. You can even replace brown sugar with white one if it is not available. If you find those granules are harsh for your skin, then you can grind it a bit to make a coarse powder. Use this scrub on your face for 5 minutes. Scrub gently . Target the t-zone. Your forehead, Your Nose and your chin. Wash off afterwards with cold water. Sugar is a natural exfoliator which helps to remove dead skin cell while along with lemon it also helps to target the blackheads as well as whiteheads. Honey Moisturizes your skin in this process.


4. Bleaching

This is an additional step. In this process we are going to bleach our facial skin by using lemon. Though it will not give you instant result like store bought bleach but in the long run it would definitely give you results. You would need only two ingredients which are easily available at our home i.e. Lemon & Honey. Take equal quantities and mix well. Apply this mixture on your face and let it sit for 15 minutes. Wash off with cold water afterwards. With regular use it would also lighten your facial hair.


5. Face Pack

To prepare this face pack we would need lemon peels powder, Rose Water and Glycerin. Mix All the ingredients well to make a smooth paste. Apply this pack on your face and keep it for 15 minutes. Wash off with cold water. This pack would give you soft and glowing skin.
