Raw yogurt or curd will work best when you have a blotchy skin that is due to sun exposure. It is a natural coolant and has got lactic acid that is beneficial for age spots and dry skin. It moisturizes your skin from within and works as an exciting exfoliating agent. Take liberal quantities of yogurt and apply it generously on your skin and the affected area. Let it soak up for half an hour. Wash off with cool water. Add in a dash of lavender essential oil if needed. Use this once or twice a week for the best results.
5. Rose Water
Rose water can also be tried out when you experience an uneven skin tone. It has all the beneficial properties of an Aloe Vera and it is anti-inflammatory too. It can soften the skin and can be effective against the redness and dark spots. It also helps in the regeneration of dead skin tissues if used regularly. It is compatible with all skin types; however, before trying it out check out if you are allergic to it as a minuscule percentage of the population may be sensitive to rose water. Take a soft cloth or a cotton ball and dip it in rose water and dab it in the affected areas. Wash off your skin later after some time. Repeat this daily for a week till the uneven tone diminishes.
