DIY Foot Scrubs To Try Out At Home:
Pepper Foot Scrub
To prepare this soothing scrub, you will need a cup of granulated sugar, some olive oil and a little bit of peppermint essential oil. You need to add olive oil to the granulated sugar and mix it well till you have a grainy consistency. You can drop some peppermint essential oil and mix well. This scrub can be put in a small bottle and used as per needs when under shower and bath. This works as an excellent exfoliator. It will moisturize and soften your sore feet.
Honey, Epsom Salt And Camphor Oil
You need to mix some Epsom salt with some drops of camphor oil and honey and mix it well. Mix well and put the mixture in a basin of warm water. The water should not be too hot or cold, but it should be just right to soak. You will soak your feet in this water for at least 30 minutes, massaging it gently to remove dead skin skills from the heels. Honey will add moisture and nourish.
Banana is known for its moisturizing properties and as a foot scrub it works excellently to remove dead cells and soften the skin. To prepare the scrub, you need to mash a banana well and apply its pulp on your feet. Let this remain for at least 30 minutes before you slowly wash it away using lukewarm water. This simple scrub removes dead skins and helps in giving you a soft and smooth skin.
Baking Soda Salt Scrub
This can be used as a scrub as well as for soaking for your feet. You need to mix equal quantities of salt and baking soda in a basin of lukewarm water. If you wish you can add some rose water too, for additional moisture and a wonderful fragrance. The salt and baking soda can also be combined separately in a bowl, to make a paste. It works as a great scrub, helping to remove unwanted dead skin cells from your feet. You can also add some additional olive oil if you wish for moisture and nourishment.
Powdered Tea Lemon Juice Scrub
This works as a smart antioxidant and good citrus foot scrubber which helps in nourishing the skin and helps in improving blood circulation, especially under the toe nails area. In a basin of lukewarm water, you simply need to squeeze in a few drops of lemon juice. You can also add a cup of powdered tea and let your feet soak in the solution for at least 30 minutes. For some great fragrance and a natural tone, you can also add some slices of orange and lemon in this and allow it to soak for sometime.
You need one cup milk, at least 5 cups of warm water and some salt. Pumice stone will help in removing dirt stuck in your cracked heels. Mix warm water with milk and soak your feet in this water for at least 10 minutes. Use a pumice stone to brush your feet and remove dead skin cells. You can then apply some honey and put on cozy socks for that perfect smooth finish.
