Is your face losing its perkiness that it usually has? Is dull and dry skin getting the norm of the day? And more importantly, are you being slowly getting replaced from the “shine of the party” tag with someone else? Welcome to the club. We really understand what you would be undergoing right now. The biggest culprit is that in our monotonous way of life we sometimes tend to give a proper interest to our face and skin a big miss. We do not take some time off to take care of our facial features and in the end, we end up putting some chemical liaised products in our busy schedule. Wait! Now don’t get started for the spa. Spa treatments are good, but once in a while. You have enough ingredients around your kitchen to make some of the best face packs and scrubs to yank the freshness out of your skin. Let us take a look at one such ingredient that is peculiar and fun to make – The tamarind.
Tamarinds have a naturally sweet and tangy taste and apart from being beneficial to your health, they can also be included in your beauty regime. They are a powerhouse of antioxidants, vitamin A and C, and flavonoids. Tamarind can be beneficial in soothing skin irritation and also can help in reducing dark spots. They are also known to regulate body health – thus maintaining an overall coolness when applied on your skin. However, do not use raw tamarind, as it can irritate your skin. Always boil some tamarind in a cup of water. Then allow it to cool and extract its pulp. Use this pulp for the face packs. Let us have a look at some of the enriching face masks that can be done using tamarind.

Take some tamarind pulp and add half a teaspoon of baking soda to it. Now add a squeeze of lemon and a squeeze of Aloe Vera juice- mix well and apply it generously on your face. Let it cool for some 20 minutes and wash off later with cool water.
