Instead you can also use pure aloe vera skin gel that you can get at beauty stores. This gel can cool down the tensed skin around the eyes. It acts as a cooling and soothing agent as well.

Milk contains nutrients that can revitalize and regenerate the cells near our eyes [2]. Use some cold milk for this therapy. Immerse 2 cotton pads in some cold milk and apply them on your eyes. Lay back for about 20 min. Then remove them and wash off with water. Do this at least twice a week for best results.

Take a cucumber and cut it into slices. Do not peel the cucumber [3]. Put a cucumber slice in each eye. Take rest and relax for half an hour. Add 3 drops of castor oil in some rosewater and use a cotton ball to soak in it [5]. Place them on your eyelids and relax for 20 min. This technique can be followed for twice or thrice a week for best outcomes.

Take a teaspoon of fennel seeds and elder flowers [6]. Add them to a cup of boiling water. Cover it with a lid and allow it to soak until the mixture has cooled down.
