Boil is a chronic skin trouble that occurs due the deep bacterial infestation inside the skin in the hair follicle. It starts off as a red tiny painful eruption and gradually increases in its size. These are caused by a germ that enter the body through the small cuts in the skin and travel all the way to the hair follicle. The most vulnerable prey to boils are those who have got the problem of diabetes, poor nutrition, poor hygiene levels, problems with their immune system, exposure to harsh chemicals and cosmetics that affect the skin.

Indian Lilac

Neem is the Hindi name used in India for Indian lilac. It is a very effective and cheap antiseptic having antibacterial properties. This helps in the treatment of boils and also other skin problems and infections. Collect a few neem leaves and grind them to form a paste. Apply to the affected area. Alternatively you can also boil the neem leaves in water until the water level reduces to one third. Now use the water to rinse the affected area.

Turmeric

Turmeric contains anti-inflammatory properties and is also known universally as the natural blood purifier. These properties are helpful in the treatment of boils. Consume the solution made by combining the turmeric powder in a glass of hot milk on a daily basis. This cleanses the system from within and solves various health issues. Alternatively you can also make a paste of ginger and turmeric i.e. equal amounts of both. Apply this on to the boil. Cover it with a clean cloth and then rinse it off after some time.

Egg can solve various issues with respect to skin and hair. The white portion of the egg is effective in curbing boils. Take out an egg and boil it. Peel the shell off it and wet the white portion of the egg. Apply it directly on to the boil. Cover the boil with a clean cloth. Keep it covered for some time and then casually wash off.

It contains antiseptic properties which are effective in removing the infestation of bacteria on the skin. It has antimicrobial properties which are useful in the treatment of coils. Take an onion slice it and take a thick piece out of it. Boil this thick piece. Now wrap the piece with a clean cloth. Leave it for some time as it is. This will draw the blood and heat of the boil. Repeat the process for at least 3 times a day until the boils vanishes.

Garlic

Garlic contains antibacterial, anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties which are useful in the treatment of boils. Make a paste from two to three fresh garlic cloves and apply it onto the boil. The simplest way to use garlic as a medication is to heat a clove of garlic and place it on to the boil and leave it for some time. Repeat this as frequently as possible. Even consumption of 2 to 3 raw garlic cloves can do wonders.

Since time immemorial milk has been used as an effective treatment for the menace of boils. It helps in speeding up the healing process of boils and also relieves you from the pain. Milk cream is the easiest method of utilising milk for the treatment of boils. Add milk cream to vinegar and turmeric powder and apply it on to the affected area. Alternatively you may make a mixture out of milk, salt and some flour. Add flour to the hot cup milk and add 3 to 4 teaspoons of salt. Apply the mixture on to the affected area. Repeat the exercise frequently for effective results.

Cornmeal is the natural absorbent which helps in the treatment of boils. Make a mixture out of water and cornmeal. Boil half a cup of water and add sufficient amount of cornmeal so as to form a thick mixture. Apply it on to the boil and cover it using a clean cloth. Repeat the exercise frequently until visible results are available.

Personal hygiene is the mandatory requirement. If you keep yourself clean then to a great extend the problem of boils can be avoided. Bath daily and wash your hands frequently to avoid the contraction of germs. Keep clothes, towel, etc. clean. Never touch the boil or at least break it. Add the necessary minerals, vitamins and other nutrients to your diet.
