DIY Natural Tips to Counter Summer Heat

Summer is approaching and within a few days hot and sultry weather will surrounds us. To counter this uncomfortable situation most of us switch on AC and fan and drinks chilled water and fizzy drinks. These outer elements actually increase our uncomfortability. But, if you can cool your body internally, it will be a great relief in this hot and sweaty weather. As the mercury outside gets high the body temperature of us also goes high along with this. As our body temperature goes high, the discomfort level also goes high. The only way to counter the summer heat is to keep your body cool internally.

Increased body temperature also makes our pressure high. Apart from that, other problems like dizziness, nausea, vomiting tendency, upset stomach, etc. are common problems of summer. A right type of cool diet may help you to solve all these problems by cooling your body from inside.

1. Yogurt:

Yogurt is an excellent product to keep your body cool. It also improves your digestive system and keeps your body cool from the inner side. Be sure to consume at least 4-5 tablespoons sour yogurt after every meal. Drink liquid yogurt drink after coming back from outside. Regular intake of yogurt in large amount will help you to keep your body cool and you will be able to counter discomfort of outer weather easily.


2. Lemon:

Lemon drink is excellent to keep your body cool to counter outer heat of summer. Take a glass of water. Add a few drops of lemon juice. Add pinch of salt in it. If you like sweet taste, add sugar depending on your taste. Stir well to mix everything. Drink this juice at least twice daily. It will help to keep your body cool.


3. Mint:

Mint is an excellent herb to keep your body cool. You can use this mint in different ways for this purpose. Boil some fresh mint leaves in water for half an hour. Then let the water cool. After that, strain the water and drink it. You may add fresh mint juice to your yogurt and take it after a heavy meal. You can also drink mint tea in the evening. All types of use of mint in our daily diet are really beneficial to bring a cooling effect on our body.


4. Green Mango:

Green mango is an excellent fruit which helps to keep your body cool internally. Peel one green mango and boil it to get soft. Now mash it to remove the mango pulp. In a shaker add 1 tablespoon green mango pulp, a moderate piece of molasses, pinch of salt and water. Shake it well to mix everything. Now pour it in a glass and add some crushed ice while serving. This mango drink is an ideal afternoon drink to make your body cool.

5. Tamarind:

Tamarind is also an excellent natural item to keep your body cool. Soak some ripe tamarind in water to get soft. After that, mash it and remove the pulp of tamarind. Tamarind is very sour so you have to add lots of sugar and water. For this reason, in a shaker mix tamarind and water in 1: 15 ratio. Add a good amount of brown sugar and salt to taste. Shake well to mix everything. Take this drink after your lunch. It will help in proper digestion of food and thus will help you to keep your whole body cool.
