Appendicitis is caused by the inflammation of the appendix. Appendix is a small pouch like organ at the end of the large intestine. Though the function of the appendix is not clear, some believe that it might contain good bacteria which help to maintain a healthy digestive system. Appendicitis can cause severe stomach pains, nausea and vomiting. In severe conditions, movements will cause a sudden increase in the pain. Fever is also a symptom of the appendicitis. Appendicitis generally is treated by removing the appendix. However, there are few home remedies which help control the pain and reduce the appendix inflammation.
Here Are Some DIY Remedies For Appendicitis Pain Relief:
Add 1 spoon of fenugreek seeds to 1 liter of water. Boil it for 10-15 minutes. Strain the water and drink it when the temperature is tolerable. Repeat every day for good results.
Eat 1 spoon of green gram three times a day to improve the symptoms of appendicitis. Another method is to soak a handful of green gram in water overnight. Next day have few spoons of the water green gram soaked water.
Prepare fresh buttermilk every day by adding 2 spoons of yogurt to a liter of water. Add salt to taste and blend it well. Drink at least 1 liter daily to reduce the searing pain in your abdomen.
Prepare fresh juice of carrot, cucumber and beetroot. Mix 100 ml of cucumber juice, 100 ml of beetroot juice and 300 ml of carrot juice. Drink 2 times in a day to get relief from the pain.
Peel the ginseng root. Cut it into fine pieces. Soak the ginseng pieces in honey for 10-15 minutes. Add hot water to the honey soaked ginseng pieces. Leave it for 15 minutes. Strain the mixture and drink twice a day for good results. Ginseng is used to reduce the inflammation of the appendix.
Take few leaves of basil (Tulsi) and add to a cup of water. Boil it well for 10-15 minutes. Strain the liquid and drink when it becomes lukewarm. This is an excellent remedy if the abdominal pains are accompanied with fever.
Soak a cloth in hot water. Squeeze out the excess water and place the warm, damp cloth on your stomach. After some time remove the cloth. Apply almond oil on your stomach. Gently massage for 10-15 minutes.
