There are other types of anemia like sickle cell anemia, hemolytic anemia and sideroblastic anemia which are caused due to genetic defects. These cannot be cured by taking iron supplements or home remedies. However if you have anemia due to nutritional deficiencies then it can be tackled by simple home remedies that can be included in your daily diet. Symptoms of anemia include tiredness, paleness, shortness of breath, dizziness etc. Anemia caused by iron deficiency is very common among women. Here Are Some Healthy Superfoods For Anemia:
Dates are a rich source of iron. Soak 2-3 dates in a glass of milk and leave it overnight. Eat this milk-soaked dates in the morning. Drink the milk also.
Soak 2-3 figs in a cup of water. Eat these soaked figs in the morning every day.
Soak a handful of raisins in a cup of water overnight. In the morning remove the raisins from water and add some honey to it. Eat it every day to improve your anemic condition.
Tomato And Apple Juice
Take 2 tomatoes and 1 apple. Cut them into small pieces. Add some water and grind them thoroughly. Strain the juice and drink daily along with your breakfast. Both tomatoes and apples are good boosters for your RBC count.
Pomegranates are rich source of iron. Eat at least 1 fruit per day to improve your anemic condition. You can also drink a glass of pomegranate juice.
Take a handful of fresh gooseberries. Remove the seeds and grind them. Add some water to extract the juice. Mix 2 spoons of honey with 3 spoons of the gooseberry juice. Drink it in the morning to reduce the anemic symptoms.
Jaggery is rich in iron and hence eating it will improve your hemoglobin levels. Add a small lump of jaggery to your tea or coffee instead of regular sugar.
Banana And Honey
Take a ripe banana and cut it into pieces. Pour some honey over them. Eat this honey soaked bananas every day to alleviate the symptoms of anemia.
