How To Prepare Healthy Spanish Cabbage Soup Easily

Soups are all time favorite for every people. It is a very healthy food which keeps you full for long time and as it does not contain so much of calories, so it is also helpful for weight loss. Spanish cabbage is good for your health and is good for your system too. Spanish Cabbage is rich in vital nutrients like vitamin B 12, vitamin A, E and K which are important for healthy body. It is also enriched in lots of minerals like potassium, Iron and zinc. It is good for the children and also for the adult peoples of your family. So, try this soup this winter and enjoy it.

Spanish Cabbage Soup:


Spanish Cabbage 250 gm, sChicken Stock 400 ml, Red lentil 100 gm, Fresh cream 2 table spoons, Salt to taste, Black pepper powder 1 tea spoon, Corn flour 2 tea spoons, Butter 50 gms.



First take the Spanish cabbage and chop it finely. Now wash it properly with clean water. Also wash red lentil with water. Now pressure cooks the Spanish cabbage in 250 ml of chicken stock by adding a little salt in it. Cook until 6-7 whistles. Also cook red lentil in remaining chicken stock. Now grind boiled Spanish cabbage in a mixer grinder and make a smooth pulp out of it.

Now take a deep pan and heat the butter in it. Now add the boiled Spanish cabbage paste in the melted butter and stir it continuously. Also add boiled red lentil with it. Add black pepper powder and salt to taste. Boil it for 15 minutes. Now remove it from flame and strain it with a sieve to separate the liquid from the solid state.


Take another deep and thick bottomed pan. Pour this strained liquid in this pan and boil it for 10 minutes. Mix corn flour in 2 table spoons of water and add this mixture in the boiling mixture. Now boil it until it goes thick and stir is continuously thus it does not form any lump in bottom.

When the mixture turned in to semi liquid state remove it from flame. Beat the fresh cream with a spoon and add it to the soup. Stir it again and pour it in a soup bowl. Garnish with remaining fresh cream and sprinkle black pepper on top. Serve Spanish Cabbage soup hot and enjoy it.
