Bad breath, scientifically known as halitosis is a cause of embarrassment to many people. Generally people find bad breath very repulsive. Bad breath is caused by bad oral maintenance. It can also be caused by certain conditions like gum diseases, sinus problems, diabetes and dry mouth. Certain food items like garlic, onions, alcohol can also cause bad breath at least temporarily. Nobody would like to have bad breath for any reason whatsoever. Here are few remedies to help control the halitosis and regain your confidence.

Cloves have anti-bacterial properties. Just pop in a piece of clove after every meal and chew them well. It has a slight sweet taste which will make eating it easier.

Bacteria found in our body find it difficult to survive in high salt environments. Hence, a salt water gargle will always help in controlling bad breath. Add 2 spoons of salt to a cup of hot water. When the water reaches tolerable temperature take a sip of this and gargle well. Do not swallow the salt water. Repeat this every morning and evening for reduced halitosis.
